Singer, actor and funny man Jack Black brought his unique brand of awkward comedy to the TODAY show this morning.
As expected there were LOL’s galore, but what people probably weren’t expecting was Black launching his campaign to be the next lead singer of ACDC.
Despite admitting they would be “big shoes to fill” Black couldn’t help but using his weather man hosting duties to audition for ACDC.
“Over here in Darwin we’ve got a lightning bolt there, you know what that means? It means they’re looking for a new lead singer of ACDC,” Black exclaimed before launching into a rousing rendition of ‘Long Way to the Top’.
“Call me Angus,” Black pleaded, referring to guitarist and co-founder Angus Young.
We think he’d make a pretty good rock’n’roll front man, he’s definitely got the crazy eyes, Rock star moves and questionable outfit choices down pat to be part of the legendary rock group.
“You know that ACDC song, ‘It’s a Long Way to the Top if you Want to Rock and Roll’, that’s how we finish School of Rock, a lot of people say that’s how I launched my career with ACDC.
“It only makes sense I become the new lead singer.”
Check out his performance in the video above and decide for yourself if he’s got what it takes.
